我們所記住的，往往不再是型錄裡的圖像，而是那種曾經凝視圖像的情感經驗。

本系列作品延續2023年個展「非你童年記憶」，起源於父子倆人共同在工作室創作後的激盪，讓原本對長期對視覺文化記憶與型錄圖像有興趣的我，以繪畫藝術的形式來展現另一種可能，特別聚焦於1970至80年代流行文化中所形塑的視覺符號，例如日本動畫、特攝影集與機器人美學等。讓它們如何在今日的繪畫美學語境中被重新觀看、再現與形式轉化的復刻。

Artist Statement

What we remember is often no longer the image itself, but the emotional experience that once arose while gazing at it.

This series continues the exploration from my 2023 solo exhibition “Not Your Childhood Memories.”

It originated from the creative exchange between my father and me in the studio—an experience that rekindled my long-standing fascination with visual culture, memory, and the imagery found in catalogues.

Through painting, I sought to express another possibility: to reexamine and reinterpret the visual symbols shaped by popular culture of the 1970s and 1980s—such as Japanese animation, tokusatsu (special-effects hero dramas), and the aesthetics of robots.

The works explore how these once-iconic images can be re-viewed, re-presented, and transformed within today’s painterly aesthetic context.
